I was thinking a lot about the work of Satoshi Kon whilst making this print. As is often the case with his characters the feelings of loss and surrendering of yourself are at the heart of this work. An illustration for days when even a matcha cannot cheer you up. But a shared feeling of being at odds with this world can make you feel a little less blue and more connected.
